It’s been some time since the last news update and alot has happened in that time.

We have finished the design of our new single point receiver endplate and we are pleased to announce it has now entered production.

This is a project that we wanted to pursue since the inception of the ASP™ sling, however, the funds simply weren’t available in the beginning to tackle two projects simultaneously.

The new receiver endplate was designed to mate with the ASP™ and the receiver with extremely high tolerances. The slot has been reduced to 1″ to accommodate the 1″ webbing of the ASP™ sling.

The slot was also lowered and narrowed to provide a snug fit that follows the contour of the receiver very closely. Interference with the forward assist has been corrected as well for lefties like me.

We are going to release this new product in dedicated left and right hand versions. We feel that the extraneous loop serves no purpose other than to provide another point at which to snag on gear. Therefore no ambi version will be produced. For pool weapons, training and other shared weapon environments, there are plenty of options available such as the Daniel Defense™ CAR-EZ mount better suited for such applications.

Look for these to become available in the near future.

Ooops! Looks like I forgot to update the news once the production units arrived. For those who haven’t already stumbled upon them, the SPRE’s are available in our carbine mounts section.
