CAR/M4 Telestock Stub?

Logged at 10:53am on July 30th, 2005 by Jason

I have been working on a low cost solution for operators wishing to utilize the ASP™ sling who do not have a single point receiver end plate. Pictured is a prototype telestock stub that will fit both the CAR and M4 style telescoping stocks.

It is composed of two parts — a strap that buckles around the buffer tube portion of the stock and the QDP™ which has a male half of a side release buckle. The strap is inserted through the slot in the stock, wrapped around and slid through the QDP™. For right handed operation, the QDP™ is positioned on the left side of the stock while the buckle side is secured on the right (ejection port side). The opposite holds true when configured for left handed operation.

I am posting this in hopes of getting feedback from those in the shooting community. If this is something you would like me to pursue, or if you have suggestions, comments or feedback please let me know by posting them right here in this article.
