Introducing the ASP-V™ Loop-less Sling
Logged at 11:24pm on June 28th, 2006 by Jason
We are proud to announce the latest addition to the Gear Sector™ product line — the ASP-V™ Loop-less Sling.
The ASP-V™ is the first and only fully adjustable rig mounted single point sling that requires no torso loop. It is a specialized unit that mounts directly to an LBV / Plate Carrier. It allows the weapon to hang at a height much higher than previously thought possible and can be deployed lighting fast to be shouldered either strong or weak side.
The ASP-V™ builds on the modularity of our extremely popular ASP™ Traditional Sling and allows several different attachment methods. It can be attached via a shoulder mounted D-Ring, through Pals / Molle webbing as well as directly to a shoulder strap. It readily accepts all current weapon attachment stubs such as our auxiliary stub, stock stub and H&K stub to insure compatibility with a wide array of weapon platforms. It will be offered in the same color palette as our ASP™ sling — Black, Coyote & Olive Drab.
The ASP-V™ is currently in the T&E phase. We plan to put it into full production mid to late next week. A planned release date has not yet been set, however, we hope to have it available through our online store before the end of the month ( possibly sooner ). Pictures will follow in the next few days.
Feel free to follow this post for status and availability updates. I will keep everyone posted on our progress as things unfold.

All pre-production units have shipped to our T&E group. Participants should begin receiving their test units tomorrow. I expect feedback to begin rolling in by the end of the week. Assuming no major modifications are required, a production run could begin as early as the 10th.

Feeback has begun rolling in and I am pleased to announce that the ASP-V™ has been received extremely well. Well enough in fact that we decided to run a second batch of prototypes and expand the T&E group. The second batch should be here today or Monday at the latest at which time I will get the test units shipped out group two.

Just a quick update regarding production units. Black & Olive Drab units should be arriving tomorrow. Coyote was due in as well, however, the machine that assembles our Coyote units went TU. Emergency repair call is in and should only delay the Coyote units by a week.
