I bought this mount for a rifle I run a Magpul MS2 sling on so that I could have a forward mount point if chose to run the sling in a 2-point config. This mount is great because its low-profile presence on my DD M4 Rail allows me to remove the QD swivel and have a virtually unchanged grip line as it closely matches the size of the Magpul XTM covers. This mount is easy on the hands when not in use, but still mounted.
